Fáilte Ireland Announces Destination Development Programming Support 2025

Fáilte Ireland has launched its Destination Development Programming Support 2025, with applications open until 30 October 2025. This initiative is designed to help Ireland’s travel trade sustainably grow revenue, while supporting national goals for carbon reduction, energy efficiency and extension of the extension season.

The Destination Development Programming Support programme will provide funding and guidance across Ireland’s four key tourism brands – Wild Atlantic Way, Dublin, Ireland’s Ancient East, and Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands. Key priorities include:

• Developing new tourism programmes for Ireland

• Establishing Ireland as a leading sustainable tourism destination

• Supporting the industry to achieve government climate targets for 2030

• Driving regional distribution and boosting local visitor economies

• Extending the tourism season beyond traditional peak months

This support aligns with Fáilte Ireland’s commitment to a balanced, low-carbon visitor economy that benefits communities and businesses nationwide.
